I decided that I need to start working on this blog or at least update it now and then...LOL
I've just finished reading a book called "Shattered Silence" by Melissa Moore whose father is the Happy Face Serial Killer...a non-fiction auto-biography.
My gosh this girl put up with a lot of crud from her father, watching him torture and kill cats...from kittens to full grown cats, and how she pushed it from her mind, how her mother chose to ignore her pleas to help her rescue the animals from their father. It made me cringe. The back and forth love-hate relationship about her father. Her mothers inability to cope with conflict and unable to rescue her children from conflict. I am grateful that their sicko father did not molest the children, however, he certainly mentally abused everyone! I recommend that the book be read by everyone who can get their hands on it because it will certainly help you pull yourselves up by your bootstraps and realize that you can face adversity and survive!
Now my day has gone from studying at school and going to lunch and then coming home to watch the Oregon Ducks vs the Washington Huskies....yahoooooooo go Ducks...they won 43 to 19.
I am completely bamboozled by algebra...considering the last math class I took was back in 1964/1965 and it was NO WHERE near what this beginning Algebra class entails. I swear....the guys who thought up math / algebra are gonna get a piece of my mind when I meet them sometime beyond the veil. I ended up with a monster headache, just this side short of a migraine, trying to study it and now I've got to take a test next week. Praying for strength and promptings while I take the test....which is the first of three for this semester.
Love school...everything else is going fairly well in school, the math is what's driving me crazy.
Off to study more on 19th Century France.....hmmmmm....interesting class, but the low-risk writing assignments are kind of a pain because there is so much reading to do without having to do the extra's....but they are interesting.
