Sometimes I have to wonder why I am so blessed to receive answers to prayers and why the Lord is so patient with me when I ask the same question sometimes several times. All I know is that He knows what is best for me when I question myself.
I've learned a lesson or two in my life and one of the biggest lesson I've learned is that when the Spirit speaks to you, you better listen and I did that today in the Provo Temple.
I had a wonderful time with my friend, my best friend in the world, (besides my girls), G.G. She and I haven't gone back many years, just a couple, but once we connected as 'fan' and 'author' we ended up being good friends. I love her dearly and I can share with her the whispers I receive from above because I know she understands completely what I am talking about. She shares with me the whispers she receives as well and there seems to be nothing that we cannot talk about.
Because of G.G. my life made a dramatic turn 20 months ago and I found myself on a spiritual and educational journey. She helped me through a very difficult time in my life and I am grateful she loaned me her shoulder to cry upon, to bounce off of and to vent and to pray. No friend could be better than one who loves you and cares for you almost as much as the Savior does. I would go to the ends of the earth for her, because she has become a sister in the truest sense. I'm grateful I could share with her today the answer I received from my prayers in the Temple. Next to my daughters, in G.G. I have found a true friend for this life and the next life.
God performs little miracles to remind us that He is still there, and sometimes these little miracles come in the form of friends who hold your hand in the Temple and pray with you.
